In the world of Fish On, a little chaos is fun, and one of my favorite tools for that said chaos is the Cheap Tackle card.
It does come with the price of missing two rounds and for that reason the timing of the pop is important.
A good time is before the season is opened, sometimes the game starts off slow due to an imbalance in the dealing or the sick humor of ever meddling fate. All the players with the Open Season cards don't have Keep-Nets and all the players with Keep-Nets don't have Open Season cards.
Enter the Cheap Tackle, the chaos bringer, playing this will force an card exchange that will bring groans and hopefully some curse words from your fellow players. This card exchange usually also brings a quicker opening of the game.
A great example of how to play a card no body wants.
Another of my favorite ways to play this card comes round about the middle of the game where people are landing far too many fish for my liking (and I have no awesome fish to land), time to bring some chaos, this might not necessarily make your hand better, but it could very well disrupt another players hopes of grandeur.
I do hope this helps, there is not always a bright side to every dark situation, but if you embrace the darkness you might very well enjoy it despite the predicament you find yourself in.
